The Outreach Committee reaches beyond FUUSE walls by providing the congregation meaningful ways to connect, support and enrich others through service, spirit and financial contributions.

Following are the three main ways the Outreach Committee helps FUUSE members make a difference:

Give-It-Away Sundays: On the third Sunday of each month, FUUSE gives away the offering to a charitable organization serving our communities. Give-It-Away Recipients, which are chosen by the Outreach Committee, include the following:

  • Gift of Warmth, providing heating assistance to those less fortunate.
  • Seacoast Family Promise, empowering families with children who are experiencing homelessness to achieve lasting self sufficiency through a community-based approach.
  • Vincent De Paul Community Assistance Center, providing food for those facing food-insecurity.
  • HAVEN, serving women, men, children, and all people of marginalized genders and identities affected by domestic and sexual violence.
  • CrossRoads House, providing emergency and transitional shelter to homeless individuals and families in the New Hampshire Seacoast area.

Collections: Throughout the year, the Outreach Committee asks FUUSE members to contribute gift cards or items that are urgently needed by people in our community.

  • Food for End 68 Hours of Hunger, putting nourishing food in the hands of school children to carry them through the weekend. https://www.end68hoursofhunger.org/
  • Grocery gift cards at Thanksgiving to Coop Middle School families.
  • Winter Jackets for homeless youth and Women, Infants, & Children Nutrition Program (WIC)
  • Meals on Wheels Santa for Seniors

Volunteer Opportunities

Like to cook? Five times a year, Outreach asks committee members and other FUUSE members to make meals for Seacoast Family Promise, serving families with children who have become homeless.
